Fingertip control of your appliances
Your appliances can be controlled either with the small on/off button on the socket itself, or via your smartphone. By plugging standing lamps and electric fans (for example) into a connected socket, you can include them in Niko Home Control routines and moods. Equally, they can also be part of a pre-programmed all-off function. Very useful for safety and energy savings.
Monitor your energy consumption
Niko’s connected sockets provide real time information on your energy use. This helps you avoid unpleasant surprises when the electricity bills arrive. It can set energy consumption barriers and send you an alert if something is wrong. Perhaps a connected appliance is using more energy than it should or no energy at all (e.g. freezer). It lets you check out what’s going on.
Program appliances to turn on automatically
You can use your connected sockets to automatically switch on appliances when you need them. At certain times of the day, say for a simulated presence, or have them switch on or off as part of an automatic routine.

Installation no matter the type of wiring
Niko’s connected sockets can be installed in new builds, but it’s equally possible to replace ordinary sockets with a connected version in existing houses. Sockets can be switched on or off with the small button (which also serves as a feedback LED) or can be controlled via a smartphone, if connected to a wireless smart hub.
Integrate into Niko Home Control
Choose to only install connected sockets and a wireless smart hub -to control them with your smartphone, or you can expand your installation with connected switches, dimmers, motor controls or wireless detectors. In this way you can make your home as smart as you want!
Set up is easy via the Niko Home app
The Niko Home app will guide you through the steps, including registration of your sockets (or your other connected products). After that you can easily include connected appliances in routines or time schedules.
