Step 5

Set and finish connected dimmer

Note: The dimming profile of the connected dimmer is set by default to profile 5. In most cases these standard settings are sufficient. If you are not completely happy with the minimum dimming level or if you notice that the lamp flickers, follow these steps.

Skip, standard settings are fine

A

Determine the dimming profile that suits this type of lamp. If necessary, ask for more information from the lamp manufacturer.

Press on the SELECT PROFILE button. The green LED above the button displays the current profile by flashing, for example:

  • Profile 5 = LED flashes 5 times (standard)
  • Profile 1 = LED flashes 1 times
  • Profile 2 = LED flashes 2 times

The LED always repeats this 3 times.

B

Select the desired profile by pressing the SELECT PROFILE button again and repeating this until you end up at the right profile. Gone too far? Then keep pressing until you end up at the right profile.

Tip: In order to check whether you have selected the right profile, wait for a few seconds before you press the select profile button again. The LED then displays the chosen profile.

C

In order to set the minimum dimming level, you must first dim the lamp to the current minimum level by pressing and holding the dimming button in the middle of the dimmer.

Note: If the lamp already has the desired minimum dimming level, continue straight to step E.

D

Modify the light intensity if the lamp shines too brightly, flickers or does not light up at all. To do so, press several times on the MIN DIM LEVEL button.

E

If the lamp shines at the desired level, press 2 times shortly on the dimming button in the middle of the dimmer. The lamp will be switched off and on and in this way your new settings will be saved.

Note: If the lamp does not work when you do a short press on the dimmer, set a dimming profile with boost function (profile 3, 7 or 8). This setting is usually sufficient to make the lamp shine even at a low dimming level.

If the lamp still flickers when dimmed, you can install another type of lamp or a LED compensator. To do so, consult an installer.

F

Place the finishing set (bought separately) on the dimmer.

G

Install the central plate (bought separately).

H

Click the central plate onto the dimmer.
