Dimming - How do I connect a 2-wire and 3-wire dimmer?

With a 2-wire dimmer, you connect the phase conductor to the electricity grid. The switching wire goes to the lamp, luminaire or light fitting which you reconnect to the grid with the neutral conductor.

With a 3-wire connection, you connect the phase conductor and the neutral conductor to the electricity grid. Connect the connection wire to the lamp, luminaire or light fitting which you reconnect to the grid with the neutral conductor. More details, including the wiring diagrams, can be found in the dimmer manual and the technical catalogue on www.niko.eu.
