Loosen the motor control
Loosen the motor control that you wish to make smart from the flush-mounting box, without disconnecting the cabling.

First undo the central plate using a screwdriver.

Then remove the central plate and the finishing set from the wall.
Attention: This method only applies when removing Niko motor controls with a square central plate (in the range since 2006).

Unscrew the existing motor control from the flush-mounting box and remove the motor control from the wall but without undoing the cabling.

Tip: Take a photo of the current cabling on which you can see which wire is connected to which clamp, making it easy for you to identify the current connection diagram.
