The Horizon Group brings together a range of businesses that largely focus on sustainable real estate. The construction company is equipping all its projects with the smart home solution Niko Home Control, thereby focusing on new construction with low energy consumption.
The fact that Niko is a Belgian company and that Niko Home Control is easy to extend in the future was what convinced Horizon to choose Niko as its innovation partner. This will allow Horizon to concentrate on its mission to build sustainable houses and flats, while reducing its ecological footprint at the same time.
The added value of Niko Home Control
According to Philippe Kools, Commercial Director at Horizon, the integration of Niko Home Control adds value to their projects, making them even more attractive.
"The benefit to our customers is first and foremost the application. This makes it possible to control the home not just locally, but remotely too, and to create a range of scenarios, such as presence simulation or all off. On top of that, the system provides for efficient management of the home's energy consumption and production."
A constructive collaboration
A partnership with Niko involves close contact. "As soon as Niko brings a new product to market and thinks it might be interesting not just to us as a real estate developer, but also to our customers, we're open to a conversation," says Eric Lemaire, Production Director at Horizon. "That way, we can include a new product in our specifications or propose it to our customers at any time."
