Niko Home Control for traditional wiring - What are the Zigbee® counterparts for the Easywave# devices?

The 230V powered Zigbee® controls are launched during the 1st quarter of 2022.
Four new functional controls will replace their Easywave# counterparts: a connected single switch 10 A, a connected double switch 2x10 A, a connected dimmer 2-wire 200 W, a connected motor control 3 A. Each functional Zigbee® device is now available in four mechanical base plate variants to serve different European markets: 60x71 mm with screws, 60x71 mm with claws, 71x71 mm with screws and 71x71 mm with claws.

The table below is the conversion table between the Easywave# and Zigbee® product variants. The wireless smart hub for Niko Home Control (552-00001) supports both the Zigbee® and the Easywave# devices.

Important: The physical Zigbee® installation must be planned so that one Zigbee® device can detect another Zigbee® device. The maximum indoor distance between two Zigbee® devices is 10 m. This distance can be extended with one or more Zigbee® repeaters and their mesh networking feature.

For example: When adding a Zigbee® control, start measuring from the location of the wireless smart hub for Niko Home Control (552-00001) and plan for maximum 10 m towards the next Zigbee® device, which can be separated for maximum 10 m with another Zigbee® control, and so on. We recommend testing the maximum wireless range before the final installation. This maximum distance can vary depending on its position, the building materials used and sources of RF interference. When the wireless connection cannot be established in a stable way, add a repeater Zigbee® device. Niko Zigbee® repeaters are 230V powered Zigbee® devices. Energy-harvesting or battery-powered Zigbee® devices, such as the Zigbee® wireless motion detector (552-80401), do not act as repeating nodes in a Zigbee® network. They only act as receiver nodes and cannot be used to extend the network.
