Everything you need to know about Niko connected switchDownload the brochure
The connected switch app converts every smartphone into a remote control, allowing you to turn on the lights in the living room while out in a restaurant. This will make it look like someone is home. Open and close roll-down shutters and sun blinds, switch a socket outlet on or off: this can also be done with the user-friendly connected switch app. Free to download in the App Store or on Google Play. Perfectly compatible with smartphones, tablets and smartwatches.
The gateway is the essential link between the switches and the connected switch app. It exists in two versions, one which you connect to the network with an UTP cable, and one which you connect using WiFi. The gateway is compatible with the Easywave protocol. It is therefore always possible to add extra switches and actors at a later stage. An LED lamp provides handy status information.
The smart switch provides unlimited flexibility. You can use it to replace an existing serial connection, routing circuit or intermediate switching and you can add extra controls. Besides being able to switch its own contact, the smart switch is also able to switch other receivers operating according to the Easywave protocol. This way you can control different light points with one push of the button. The behaviour of the LED lamp on the switch is something you can decide.
Wireless really means: without cables. All you need is a battery. You can combine the wireless switches with a smart switch, a wireless receiver or the gateway. You can stick, screw or place them anywhere. The wireless switches operate on a frequency of 868.3 MHz and are available in all Niko finishes.
The wireless receivers turn lights on or off, control shutters and switch socket outlets on or off. One transmitter can operate an unlimited number of receivers. One receiver can be controlled by a maximum of 32 transmitters. Thanks to the indoor transmission and reception range of 30 metres, the possibilities of these wireless products are endless. A wireless receiver can also be coupled with a smart switch. Models exist for flush-mounting, to fit in the electrical cabinet, for outdoor use and for in a socket outlet.
The web portal allows you to set up your electrical installation as you wish. All buttons can be linked to the gateway and can be controlled from any browser. Using a weekly calendar, you could, for example, programme your garden lighting. You can also activate reports whereby a push notification, text message (SMS) or e-mail is sent when someone presses a button. Want to let all family members know, via their smartphones, that dinner is ready? It's easy to set up on the web portal, via myconnectedswitch.niko.eu.
