You realise that it would be handy if there was a switch in the downstairs corridor to operate the light in the upstairs hallway. This is possible! Replace the (two-way) switch with a (two-way) switch-receiver and place one or more controllers anywhere you like.
You want to enlarge the living room by taking down a wall. But, there is a switch on that wall and you still have to be able to operate the lighting? No problem. You place the switch-receiver by the lamp and place one or more controllers anywhere you like.
Niko has
various remote control units in its range. These can be used to dim the lights, operate the roll-down shutters, open and close the garage door remotely, etc.
At the moment, you have one control for each roll-down shutter. But would it not be handy if you could
control all of the roll-down shutters at the same time with one controller? You can do this by simply adding a wireless control.
Switches may not be positioned close to a bath, washbasin or shower, but this requirement does not apply to wireless controls. After all, they operate at low voltage which means there is no danger of electrocution.
